The lightkeepers cottage is beautiful, but the climb up the stairs and ladders to the top of the lighthouse is worth it. The view is breathtaking! The experience incredible. After walking around the lighthouse area, you get to retrace your steps back to where you started. What and experience and sense of accomplishment.

Head Harbour Lighthouse was built in 1829 on a small rocky islet located off the tip of Campobello Island, NB to help ships in the area navigate the famous Bay of Fundy fog and high tides and the treacherous rocks surrounding the island. It is a large white octagonal tower with the red cross of Saint George painted on its east side.
